The study on U.S. happiness ran from January to August 2014 and asked diverse participants about certain feelings, such as enjoyment, happiness, anger, and fear and how often each was encountered. Whether it’s due to worry, stress, fear, or anger, there is a real happiness crisis when the Happy Planet Index ranks the U.S. on par with war-torn Ethiopia.
